Job Information

We are currently working with a well-established financial services company based in Leeds city centre and they are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the business.

For this role candidates will be responsible for both analysis of department accounts within the Group, in addition to performing a Business Partnering role, where you will interpret the figures and advise on improvements and overall performance.

Key duties will include;
•Reporting, analysis and explanation of financial performance against Plan
•Forecasts at both a business level and overall Group level.
•Analysis, review and challenge costs, capital expenditure and non interest income
•Support management in understanding and owning individual department cost base
•Manage relationships with multiple cost centre managers
•Provide training, education and management information to them in order to deliver the above objectives.
•Managing an Accountant - responsibility of managing this colleague on a day to day basis.

For this role candidates must be full qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), and also be degree educated (2:1 degree level or above with strong A Level results).

Banking, Finance or Financial Services experience would be a distinct advantage.

It is essential that candidates are a proven relationship builder, with the ability and confidence to manage relationships with all levels of staff both within Finance and cross-functionally

Candidates will need to be highly articulate with strong analytical and influencing skills, be a self-starter and have the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

This is an excellent role, where you will be highly visible across the group, working within a technical and commercially focused role.
