A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and hard-working Assistant Underwriter to join a leading Insurance Brokerage within their established underwriting team.

The successful candidate will have experience dealing with commercial insurance and preferably knowledge of the Underwriting sector.

Responsibilities:

� Supporting a team of Underwriters, dealing with new business, renewals and mid-term adjustments within authority
� Liaise with Underwriters for risks that exceed individual authority limits
� Comply with Binder, procedures and underwriting authority levels
� To maintain and develop personal knowledge and skills through continued professional development and training
� To undertake any other task that may be required by the Company

Skills:

� Experience dealing with commercial motor is desirable, however other commercial knowledge will be considered
� Preferably knowledge of the Underwriting Sector
� Excellent communication and negotiation skills
� High quality administrative skills
� Great attention to detail
