We are seeking applications for the post of Production Operations Manager.
The client is a highly regarding manufacturer of electronic componentry, with a global customer base.

Responsibilities are as follows:
• Ensuring jobs are manufactured correctly, cost effectively and delivered on time in accordance with customer and quality requirements
• Capacity planning to ensure sufficient time allowed for manufacture
• Plan and schedule workload on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
• Set, monitor and review workload schedule
• Monitor and review production progress against deadline targets to ensure on time delivery
• Hold production reviews with appropriate staff i.e. sales/purchasing to ensure adequate communication
• Ensure the smooth running of final test
• Ensure the smooth running of component and despatch stores
• Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are observed
• Training cell leaders to train shop floor staff and maintenance of training records
• Responsible for continuous improvement
• Monitor/ selection of sub- contractors
• Liaise with technical department and input into design for manufacture
• Overall responsibility for performance management of all staff, including PDRs and managing disciplinary process
• Implement measures and reporting mechanisms
• Any other reasonable duties commensurate with position, skills and experience

The role will require the following skills and experience;
• A minimum of 5 years electronics manufacturing sector experience, with at least 2 years at management level within a Production Management role.
• Experience of rough cut capacity planning, within a lean manufacturing environment
• Proven experience of 5S, Six Sigma or other lean manufacturing techniques.
• Good communication and management skills.
