Job Information

Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a professional services organisation who are looking to add a HR Officer to provide effective and efficient support to the HR Business Partner in all areas of HR.

Responsibilities:
• Liaise with recruitment agencies, attend 1st stage interviews, create job specs, prepare induction for new starters, follow up on any probationary issues.
• Maintain on-going relationship with new recruits
• Provide management information reports
• Manage maternity/paternity/parental leave
• First line response for policy implementation and advice and guidance
• Undertake exit interviews and ensure leavers process is complete
• Carry out operational work as required (i.e. disciplinary/grievance/maternity leavers)
• Assist with change programmes including redundancy, TUPE and acquisitions
• Recruitment and agency liaison
• Manage sickness for service line
• Run the monthly payroll
• Organise events for service line (i.e. workshops)
• Assist with salary review and benefits renewals
• Assist with HR project work
• Administer the professional membership subscriptions
• Ensure HR best practice is followed at all times

Person Specification:
• A good standard of education, ideally graduate calibre
• CIPD qualified (Associate level) or equivalent
• Previous HR experience within a busy department (preferably Professional Services)
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
• Ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels
• Excellent organisation and time management skills
• Excellent IT skills
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Able to work confidentially at all times
• Able to demonstrate a commercial awareness
