Cameron James Professional Recruitment is assisting a reputable MGA with the recruitment of an experienced Commercial Underwriter to deal with new business on a daily basis.

Our client are a growing name in the industry, they are looking to appoint an established Underwriter with strong communication skills and a commercially savvy approach to provide them with a good level of technical ability.

You will be responsible for dealing with an established panel of brokers and using both your trading approach and underwriting knowledge to increase the organisations share in the SME, Commercial and Mid-Corporate markets.

The role will be new business biased and require you to build and maintain relationships with both brokers and clients through telephone contact and meetings in order to enhance the reputation of the company and secure opportunities to quote, predominantly for commercial property and liability cases.

Salary up to £32,000 plus excellent company benefits including a flexible employee benefits scheme.

Applicants for this role must have extensive underwriting experience and be technically competent in a broad range of commercial insurance classes including commercial combined, property, liability and motor.
