I am currently recruiting for an HR Officer to join an organisation in Witham Essex for a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The successful candidate will have previous HR Administration or Assistant experience in a generalist position. You will also have extensive recruitment experience and be able to manage the recruitment process from Pre-screen to Induction. Exposure to dealing with Employee Relation cases will also be an essential requirement to this role as further training and development will be given.

This is an urgent position and the successful candidate must be able to start within 1 week of the position being offered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You will be responsible for maintaining key HR processes, procedures and practices (New Starters, Leavers, HR Induction, Monthly Payroll, Junior Level Recruitment, Booking Training Courses, Responding to Employee Relations and Group Policies )
• Provide advice and guidance to managers on staffing issues, including sickness absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance issues, working with the Group HR Manager to resolve issues in line with employment legislation.
• Manage any general employee relations issues including the management of HR Case work (from start to end)
• Help employee’s achieve their potential by providing advice & guidance on operational matters and escalating to the Group HR Manager (when necessary) to ensure issues are dealt with promptly
• Support the Group HR Manager in improving and providing guidance on performance management, pay and reward, employee benefits, new joiner orientation, exit interviews, reporting processes and other HR initiatives
• Other HR duties as and when required by the Group HR Manager

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• CIPD or equivalent or graduate
• Previous experience of using an HR Systems (SAP HR, Oracle, Rebus, any other in-house systems)
• Experience of providing advice and guidance to managers on employment related matters
• Experience of working in an HR generalist position
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Experience of dealing conflicting deadlines
• Experience of recruiting and selecting staff (junior level staff)
• Experience of working in a busy department
• Good influencing skills
