We are working with a well established and growing financial services company and they are looking for a keen and ambitious Finance Manager to join the business.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a proven track record within Auditing and either be currently working in an accountancy firm looking for their first move into industry, or have already moved and now looking for a fresh challenge.

Supporting the Head of Finance the role will be involved in all aspects of month-end accounting, management reports and account reconciliation, in addition to being involved within key projects in the business.

They are also looking for someone who can review current accounting systems and procedures, and from auditing experience, be able to identify areas of improvement and challenge existing ways of working. Key duties will include;

•Preparation of monthly management accounts and monthly MI reporting
•Assistance in year end and budgeting processes and processing month end and associated reports.
•Completion of VAT returns and all other government reporting in accordance with legislative deadlines.
•Review and auditing of current systems and processes across the business, with the ability to recognise and suggest areas for improvement
•Reconciliation of accounts, ledgers control and day to day accounting
•Preparing accounting in line with industry and company accounting standards.
•Involvement with key projects across the business - accounting systems, procedure reviews and IT upgrades
•Supporting the FD with any ad-hoc tasks

Candidates will need to be either ACCA / ACA Qualified and have trained within an Accountancy Firm, and hold strong Auditing experience.

In addition to technical experience - strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to review, challenge and suggest effective ways of working.

Salary £40-45,000 plus bonus (10%), Medical cover and 23 days holiday.
