Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a National Engineering company who are looking for a HR Advisor to work within their busy HR team. This is a pivotal role whose key purpose is to support industrial relations and employee relations in the business. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support regarding HR procedures and practices relating to all aspects of people
management and recruitment within the London area on an interim basis for up to 6 months.

Responsibilities:
• Manage a diverse caseload covering all industrial relations issues including trade union consultation and negotiation.
• Supporting and coaching of line managers on Performance Management issues
• To be the HR expert in investigation/disciplinary/grievance meetings providing
• advice and guidance on appropriate levels of sanctions.
• Providing support and guidance to line managers regarding Absence Management situations.
• To identify common operational issues within area of responsibility and develop and facilitate coaching to line managers on these.
• Provide support and professional input into the recruitment process within the geographical area of responsibility.
• Advice to line managers on appropriate terms and conditions for employees.
• Support the roll-out of HR initiatives.
• Project activity as and when required to develop training workshops, policy implementation etc.

Person Specification:
• Generalist HR experience, preferably gained within a commercial, fast paced environment.
• A proven record of dealing with industrial relations issues.
• A proven track record of dealing with complex HR issues, including employee consultation, redundancy situations and TUPE.
• Hold or actively be working towards graduate membership of CIPD.
• A proven record of building effective relationships.
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of current employment legislation.
• Demonstrable experience of using initiative and working to deadlines.
• Experience of working in a changing environment and providing HR solutions to business problems.
