We are working with a well-established retail business and they are recruiting for an experienced Financial Accountant / Part-Qualified Accountant.

Working as part of a team the role reports into the Finance Director and the main focus of the role is preparing month-end and Year-end accounts. Key duties will include;

•Month-end accounting - Balance Sheet reconciliations/income and expenditure analysis/ P&L analysis
•Financial reporting and Year end audit preparation
•Inter-company postings and reconciliations
•Preparation of monthly forecasting reports with variance analysis
•Sales analysis with detailed graphs and variance analysis
•Cost Centre controls
•Preparing and submitting of quarterly VAT returns
•Multi-currency bank reconciliations
•Calculation and posting of periodical GL Journals
•Preparation and submittal of Intrastat/EC Sales manual returns
•Oversee and manage internal retail financial audits

For this role candidates will ideally be studying towards ACCA / CIMA and have proven experience within a similar role.

Experience working within Retail / Fashion (or similar) would be advantageous.
