Job Information

Stand-alone Generalist HR Advisor for c. 200 employees.

Main Duties:

• Maintaining employee records including auditing to ensure all employees have the
issue of all relevant documentation
• Standard letters (Offer letters etc) and issue of Standard Contracts of Employment
• Issue of Induction Packs, Application Forms, Employee Handbooks and other Employee documents
• Witness/ conduct disciplinary interviews
• Carry out investigations for disciplinary & Health and Safety purposes when appropriate
• Writing and delivering training sessions across 3 sites
• Administration of annual appraisals, including timetables and collation of completed appraisals
• Administration of the Health Scheme
• Administration of holidays and sickness records for monthly staff
• Update policies to reflect legislation changes
• Measuring employee statistics, e.g. headcount, sickness etc
• Monitoring of absence including reporting to Managers and Supervisors
• Producing monthly reports for the board meetings including headcount figures & absence
• Arranging occupational appointments and driving employees to appointments when necessary
• Sourcing, booking and co-ordinating delegates on training courses
• Co-ordinating the continued development of Investors in People for the Company
• Member of Works Council, Pre Team Brief committee and Suggestion Scheme committee
• Assisting in the implementation of Company and Group HR policies
• Assisting all Managers with employee relations
• All aspects of recruiting for Operations staff including the posting of job advertisements, processing application forms, arranging interviews, conducting interviews alongside Supervisors and assisting in the selection process
• Conduct HR section in all Inductions
• Conduct HR probationary chats
• Attendance in informal chats with Supervisors present and also conducting informal chats one to one
• Conducting exit interviews and producing a report
• All aspects of maternity related items including SMP payment schedule for the management accountant
• Advising on redundancy procedures at all levels including instructing employees of at risk, working out matrix results, holding consultations and delivering the outcomes
• Assisting in workshops
• Conducting HR/Supervisor discussions to help improve relations, achieve consistency, exchange information et
• Create job descriptions with Supervisors/Managers
• Issue job descriptions
• Liaise with Home Office/Police when and if required
• Organise Pre Team Brief meetings and produce minutes
• Organise the Works Council meetings and produce minutes
• Co-ordinate information for annual magazine
• Home visits to long term sickness employees or colleagues on maternity leave
• Other ad-hoc projects
