We have been exclusively retained on behalf of a rapidly expanding importer of multi temperature food stuffs for the UK market to recruit a Supply Chain Executive, based out of their head office in West Yorkshire.

Continued expansion has led to this family owned and run business needing to recruit a person to fit a moulded role of Inventory Controller and Demand Forecaster. Maintaining their industry leading service rating is a top priority; they are passionate about quality.

Duties and responsibilities:

> Manage Inventory levels in line with demand
> Conduct analysis of historical data v forecast
> Driving inventory levels by use of root cause analysis to identify reasons for inventory shortage or excess
> Resolve all out of stock queries/ nil stocks
> Balance the supply chain in line with changing demand profile
> Calculation and assessment of safety stock, order policy and other inventory parameters
> Analysis of slow moving and obsolete stock and make suggestions to reduce excess inventory
> Liaise between contract balances and national account managers to ensure contracts run on time
> Assist in designing, reviewing and streamlining processes involving inventory
> Create analytical models, reports and briefs for colleagues and managers
> Work alongside existing shipping team to optimise stocks

Key Experience Required:

> Previous experience of Demand Management and Stock Control is essential, ideally from the food/FMCG retail sector.
> Advanced Excel skills will be required
> Degree in a relevant discipline would be a distinct advantage
> Experienced with Sage is desirable
> Knowledge of Food Information Regulations is also desirable
