We are working with a well established and growing SME who are looking for an experienced Financial Controller.

Reporting direct into the MD the role will involve managing the finance function, reviewing and streamlining financial systems and controls and overseeing the accounts team. Key duties will include;

•Overseeing a team of 4 people - all day to day management, training and recruitment
•Preparing monthly management account including P&L, Balance sheet, Accruals and Prepayments
•Budgeting and forecasting, cash management and cash flow reporting
•Preparation of the monthly management pack, including attending and presentation of the figures to the management team
•Reviewing current accounting systems, making changes where necessary and streamlining processors
•Supporting the business through growth, ensuring tight financial controls are in place and the department is running efficiently
•Overseeing all day to day accounting - AP, AR, Credit Control, Account reconciliation ect

For this role it is essential that candidates are fully qualified ACCA / ACA / CIMA and have proven experience working in a similar role. Ideally candidates will have started within accountancy practice and then moved into Industry (although this is not essential).

Candidates will ideally have worked in a rounded position within an SME and be confident supporting the MD, taking responsibility for the full finance function.

Excellent IT skills are essential for the role and ideally Sage Line 200 (or Sage experience).

This is a busy role that will allow candidates to bring in and implement new and efficient accounting systems and processors. Hard work and commitment will be recognised and there is excellent scope to take on more responsibility.
