Job Information

We've been retained on behalf of one of the UKís leading electronic component manufacturers to recruit a Purchasing Specialist, with responsibility for the companies direct catagory spend. The companyís flat structure offers the post holder options to expand and is more than just a typical negotiation and sourcing role - itís an opportunity to develop skills in many areas such as purchase ledger control and inventory management.

The Company

With a global client base and industry renowned product quality, my client is expanding its product range to take it into new markets. The projected growth of the company is one that will offer the right candidate potential career paths as they are poised to go from strength to strength over the next few years.

They have identified the need for a professional Buyer to join their ranks. This is a new role and one which could lead to a more Senior Management role relatively quickly.

To aid this growth, we are seeking applications from relevant candidates to perform the following functions. Please read through the advertisement and apply if you can demonstrate experience against each bullet point.

Key Experience

Purchasing - This role is the direct interface with the supply base, so you must have held a role in which you can demonstrate negotiation, sourcing, expediting and contract management exposure.
Inventory Management - You must have held a role responsible for monitoring, reporting and improving stock levels.
Finance Skills - The Purchase Ledger Clerk reports to the post holder, so good admin and financial control exposure is required.
You must be CIPS qualified and preferably hold AAT qualifications with experience in using Sage Accounts.

This is to push the company forward, progressive process improvement and cost saving are KPI monitored, so a dynamic, proactive Purchasing and Supply Chain candidate is sought.
