Job Information

Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a Fashion Retailer Brand who are looking to add a HR Officer to their team. The HR Officer will provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies and procedures and respond to general enquiries in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the new starter process & undertake Right to Work in UK checks
• Draft employment contracts and take up references.
• Monitor leavers, carry out exit interviews
• First point of contact and advice for all (potential) disciplinary/performance management issues
• Conduct employees’ disciplinary, performance and grievance meetings
• Responsible for all associated administration
• Take minutes of HR meetings
• Ensure probationary period is monitored
• Ensure any action taken is legally and best practice compliant
• Conduct new employee orientations in order to facilitate their integration, including Health & Safety briefing covering workplace hazards, accident and emergency procedures)
• Organise induction training on a monthly basis
• Arrange training for employees when requested
• Review, maintain and effectively manage annual performance appraisals and personal development plans records
• Ensure Company policies relating to HR are communicated to employees and complied with
• First point of contact for staff welfare such as maternity, paternity, parental leave, domestic emergencies, compassionate leave or low morale concerns

Person Specification:
• Ability in dealing effectively with employee relations issues in accordance with established policy and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels
• Retail sector experience would be advantageous
• Ability to work with diplomacy and assertiveness
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, to multi task and reprioritise work
