I am currently recruiting for a Senior HR Manager to join a FMCG organisation in Cambridgeshire.
This is a new opportunity within a growing organisation for an experienced senior generalist HR Professional.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a “fast-paced” environment, ideally FMCG, Manufacturing, Distribution, Construction or Retail sector. They must have worked in a similar HR management role and have gained experience in both operational and a strategic responsibilities.

The role will be a “hands on” role where you will manage the day to day activities of the personnel within the HR department. You will be required to provide professional and specialised advice to Senior Managers on all employment law issues as and when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To work within the UK senior management team to support the UK People Strategy, supporting the Head of HR in strategy delivery.
• To ensure people strategies remain inline with commercial activities, by forming close relationships with Senior Management Teams
• To manage the implementation of any new HR systems
• To coordinate and present key data on corporate bench-marking standards on a regular basis.
• To work closely with the Operations and Technical teams, to oversee shift patterns and to provide timescales for recruitment and selection during peak periods
• To work with Senior Management teams to ensure corporate standards are maintained
• To ensure succession planning is in place for future growth
• To support the Head of HR in preparing detailed ‘People Budgets’ for each site
• Facilitate Senior Management Meetings at all sites
• Review all policies and procedures on a regular basis and to ensure the Company Handbook and Terms of Employment are up to date and in-line with current legislation
• To lead on all TUPE transfers as and when required
• To ensure periodic reviews of Employee Satisfaction are conducted, to ascertain where the Group may need to review their people strategies
• To ensure the Performance Management system is fit for purpose and identifies needs and addresses any internal issues.
• To address any claims by employees in relation to grievance, disciplinary and employment tribunals
• To deliver and continually review a fair and robust grading structure for the Company
• To advise the Board and administer staff reward and recognition information to relevant staff
• To support the Head of HR in the delivery of the Performance Related Bonus Scheme and any other bonus scheme
• To present and provide tailored Senior Management Training options that will develop Senior Management Team members both for the job role and for future Board roles
• To be accountable for Recruitment and Selection ensuring a cost effective recruitment strategy to attract new talent to all sites.
• To meet legal requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act, providing a duty of care to all employees under Health & Safety Regulations and to ensure H&S audits are carried out on a regular basis

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• CIPD or equivalent
• Experience of working as a HR Manager or similar role
• Experience of working in a “fast paced” and “hands-on” role
• Experience of Recruitment and Employee Relations
