Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor

An excellent opportunity has arisen within one of our clients for a Day Shift Warehouse Supervisor to join the team in Bristol. The purpose of this role is to manage the warehouse shift efficiently to achieve targeted performance levels within a fast 24/7 operation on a fixed four on, four off 12 hour shift pattern.

Our client is an expanding retailer; preference will be given to candidates from a multi temperature food distribution background.

Playing a vital part in the supply chain process, you will oversee the efficient receipt, storage and delivery of goods to their branches on your particular shift. To achieve this, you will manage people, processes and systems. You're responsible for ensuring targets are met. You also ensure Health & Safety requirements are followed and take responsibility for the building and stock.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning, co-ordinating and monitoring the receipt, order assembly and dispatch of goods;
• Having a clear understanding of the Company’s policies, values, vision and how the warehouse contributes to these;
• Ensuring stock control systems are up-to-date;
• Monitoring performance and progress;
• Motivating, organising and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded;
• Maintaining standards of Health & Safety and ensuring security in the work environment;
• Manage and adjust staffing levels to meet operational requirements;
• Maintain the highest hygiene standards.
