We have been retained by an industry leading manufacturer and distributor of high end fixture and fittings to recruit their new Logistics Manager, based out of their UK Head Office.

Required Experience

• You must have experience of relationship management with the large home-ware retailers i.e. Amazon, B&Q, Homebase, Wickes etc. Specifically through a 3rd party logistics provider.

Purpose of position:

• Manage the Supply Chain Process to achieve Company objectives and targets; including planning and forecasting, inventory control, logistics management of outsourced warehouse (3PL), management of forecasting to Group as well as local suppliers, and reporting of key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
• Preparing and booking in deliveries with major retail customer warehouses; ensuring all booking in procedures are adhered to.
• Preparing all outbound documentation
• Working with the 3PL provider to prepare documents in line with the customers vendor manual
• Downloading stock report, compare to 3rd party stock holding, investigate differences
• Organising cross-docking of deliveries to various UK customers
• Processing credit notes in SAP for returning stock
• Creating bundle orders in SAP for warehouse
• Ordering replenishment stock in SAP from HQ
• Optimising stock holding in the local warehouse
• Creating batches of delivery notes for local warehouse
• At the end of the month ensure all outstanding picking instructions have been completed
• Receipting stock into SAP against purchase orders
• Carrying out stock adjustments
• Investigating aging delivery notes
• Communicating with head office around availability and deliveries
• Investigating IDOC failures in conjunction with IT
• Close working relationship with Finance to resolve issues over invoices
• Daily communication with 3rd party warehouse, resolving any issues that may arise, planning workload and preparing SLAs for review
• Creating purchase order for products ordered directly from suppliers
• Make recommendations for continuous process improvement within the logistics dept. and forecasting function.
• Perform daily and weekly planning, ordering, and forecast maintenance tasks within SAP.
