We are working with one of the UK's leading insurers as they look to appoint an established Regional Development Underwriter with strong communication skills and the ability to naturally influence and motivate others around them.

You will be responsible for actively supporting the sales force in the acquisition of commercial, motor fleet business and large accounts, control quality of inbound cases, act as a final referral point and provide technical support to improve technical knowledge and deliver sustainable profitable growth.

The role will be new business biased and require you to build and maintain relationships in order to enhance the reputation of the company and secure opportunities to quote. This role can be home based as laptop, car and phone are provided, however a local office network means that time can be spent in house.

You will be required to maintain technical proficiency across a range of commercial insurance risks in order to make key underwriting decisions as well as supporting colleagues and generally helping the region to develop and maintain their strong new business track record.

Salary up to £40,000 plus excellent company benefits including a flexible employee benefits scheme, car, laptop and phone. Applicants for this role must have extensive underwriting experience and be technically competent in a broad range of commercial insurance classes including commercial combined, property, liability and motor fleet.
