We are working with a well-established retail business and they are recruiting for an experienced Financial Accountant / Part-Qualified Accountant.

Working as part of a team the role reports into the Finance Director and the main focus of the role is preparing month-end and Year-end accounts.

Key duties will include:

• Month-end accounting - Balance Sheet reconciliations/income and expenditure analysis/ P&L analysis
• Financial reporting and Year end audit preparation
• Inter-company postings and reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly forecasting reports with variance analysis
• Sales analysis with detailed graphs and variance analysis
• Cost Centre controls
• Preparing and submitting of quarterly VAT returns
• Multi-currency bank reconciliations
• Calculation and posting of periodical GL Journals
• Preparation and submittal of Intrastat/EC Sales manual returns
• Oversee and manage internal retail financial audits


For this role candidates will ideally be ACCA / CIMA qualified or near qualification and have proven experience within a similar role.

Experience working within Retail / Fashion (or similar) would be advantageous.
