I am currently recruiting for a company in the heart of the city and they are looking for a Head of Finance / Financial Controller.

Duties and responsibilities;

Producing monthly management accounts with detailed analysis, using an in house system

Cash management

Managing 9 separate bank accounts

Dealing with multicurrencies (previous experience of this is essential)

Creating reports

VAT returns

Payroll for approx 70 monthly staff

Calculating pensions

Assisting with the development of new IT system (not imminently)

Dealing with a number of different year ends

Prepare monthly forecasts

Monitoring bank accounts daily

Managing a team of 10 people

Liaising with different countries therefore you must have excellent communication skills

Offering competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum dependent on experience

For this role it is essential that candidates are ACCA qualified and have proven experience working as a Head of Finance/Financial Controller previously. This is a busy role but it is working for a company where there is extremely low employee turnover - the role has only become available due to retirement. Candidates must have strong communication skills and are confident dealing with people across the business. Candidates must be well organised and have excellent Excel skills as you will be working heavily with this programme.
