We are working with a growing services based / utility based company in Slough and they are recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join the business as their Assistant Financial Controller/ Finance Manager.
Reporting into the FC the role will be responsible for the management and day to day running of the accounts team. Involved with all aspects of finance, the role will involve management and month-end reporting, plus involvement with the Year-end process. key duties and responsibilities will include;

Preparation of monthly management accounting - analysis of the P&L, Balance sheet reconciliation, Accruals and Prepayments
Year-end accounting and preparing for the auditors
Assisting with the budgeting process, cash-flow management and forecasting
Preparing the management pack for review by the Directors
Analysis and financial modelling - variance analysis and drill down of accounts - margins, performance, variances ect
Managing a team of 6-8 people within the accounts department
Overseeing the full AP, AR and credit control function
Reporting on aged debt, dealing with clients and ensuring goals are met in terms of credit control and debt collection
Day to day management of staff including training, recruitment, appraisals, staff performance and ensuring the department meets company standards
For this role candidates will ideally be fully qualified or studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA and have strong technical accounting experience.
Strong MS Excel skills are essential and ideally candidates will have experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
