Our rapidly expanding client are currently recruiting for a newly created Finance Manager position to join their forward thinking company. Candidates must have strong leadership skills in order to manage a team of six.This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy team and assist in identifying improvements to help the business and liaise with the various areas and functions of the company. In order to do this applicants will have strong analytical skills and be able to interact with other departments
The successful candidate will be able to show strong leadership skills to ensure the team are maximising their full potential therefore previous experience managing a finance team is essential.
Duties will include:
Overseeing the day to day running of the Finance department, including Sales and Purchase ledgers, cash in/out, management reporting
VAT returns both for the UK and providing information for accountants in multiple other European countries
Submitting Intrastat and EC Sales data
Working with other departments to identify weak areas of current processes and recommending potential improvements
Interacting with other departments where their processes and performance impacts directly on Finance, especially Sales Ops and Fulfilment
Leading and managing operational staff and introducing training programs where needed
Assisting the Finance Director
Carrying out annual appraising performance
Rewarding and disciplining employees
Dealing with complaints and resolving any issues

Required Skills and experience:
Experience in a similar role
Working knowledge of Sage Line 200
Strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a professional manner in all dealings with team members, other employees, managers and directors
Ability to multitask several projects/tasks and working to deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team player with ability to work independently; detail-oriented, highly organised, and a self-starter.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
