My Leeds based property client is currently recruiting for a part time accounts assistant to join their busy and lively accounts team. The company has only 5 people in the Leeds office however they are extremely successful and employees work hard in this hands on role where teamwork is essential.

The role requires the successful applicant to work a flexible 25 hours per week over 4 or 5 days : during busy periods this may be slightly more (couple of hours)

Duties include:

• Bookkeeping duties for the company
• Purchase invoices, sales invoices, cashbook transactions and loan accounts
• VAT returns
• Preparing the quarterly management accounts
• Inputting of weekly timesheets for three chargeable staff
• Bookkeeping duties for client companies
• Producing accounts analysis schedules
• VAT returns for 8 client companies
• Accounts analysis of potential tenants
• Inputting of monthly rent and service charge statement data
• Various ad hoc duties and assisting with admin when colleagues out of the office


The role requires someone with previous accounts assistant experience who has previously assisted with the management accounts side of things.

Candidates must be able to use Excel and have previous systems experience : the system used is Sage line 50 and although experience with this is ideal it is not essential

The position offers an extremely competitive salary of cĀ£28,000 per annum pro rata.
