Purchasing Manager : Circa £37,000 plus benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Manager for a garment manufacturer, based in the East Midlands.

Part a huge international group of companies; they themselves are a large international clothing business who commands their respective market.

The Role
The Purchasing Manager will be the strategic conduit between site level buying, the garment component supply base and the client business. It will have full responsibility for the following:

•Where they buy

•How they buy

•Product Management, including NPI

•Ensuring best T&C’s are achieved for payment price, payment terms, quality, lead times, and service levels.

•Multi million pound spend, tendering and supplier appraisals across global site level buying

•Product and market analysis and appraisals

Requirements

•Candidates a minimum of five years demonstrable strategic procurement experience at a strategic level within a garment manufacturing business.

•Experience of dealing with garment component suppliers is essential.

•Willingness for global travel to suppliers and manufacturing plants.
