Senior Buyer - Harlow

The Company
One of the UK’s largest branded distributors of products for the automotive market. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Senior Buyer to lead the operational purchasing section.

The Role
The Senior Buyer leads a team of five Buyers, with responsibility for day to day procurement of finished goods.

Key duties will be:

• Accountability for stock availability and accuracy.
• Responsible for New Product Development and new product line development.
• Maintaining and improving on Sla’s and KPI’s, specifically profit margin on product lines.
• Working with Product Testers & Marketing Teams to bring these products to the Market.
• Achieve both best price/quality/value



Requirements:

• A minimum of five years’ experience of global sourcing, negotiation and supply arrangement of finished goods from the Far East within the mechanical/electrical product sector.
• Product Management experience : undertaking and producing market analysis reports on competitors and new products.
• You will be expected to travel to trade shows regularly and the Far East two to four times a year.
• Ideally you will already be at MCIPS level.
