Job Information

Our client, a Wealth Management firm provides Financial Advise to Private and corporate clients. Offices in London and Weybridge. They require an experienced Mortgage Administrator for the Weybridge office.


Title: Mortgage Administrator (Full time) : Weybridge office


Department: Mortgage Department


Job Purpose


To work within a successful, busy and fun team. Providing direct administrative support to two consultants; assisting them with the research and production of new mortgage and protection business. Processing mortgage business from application stage through to completion. Servicing of existing and new clients.


Qualifications and Experience


- Mortgage qualifications : Preferred but not essential


- 2 years minimum mortgage experience : Preferred


Good general knowledge of life and mortgage related products and legislation


- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated software


- Previous experience of Intelligent Office an advantage but not essential, training will be given


Skills


The aptitude to work efficiently, enthusiastically in a proactive forward thinking manner, using organisational, managing, and prioritising skills is essential.


You should have excellent communication skills as you will be required to deal with mortgage lenders, clients and their professional connections with regard to their mortgage and ancillary requirements, particularly in the absence of the Mortgage Consultant, both verbally and in person.


You should be able to work well under pressure using your own initiative, on your own as well as part of a team.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Task Module of Intelligent Office to be reviewed and kept up to date tracking and monitoring each processing stage.
• Provide Keyfacts Illustrations along with the other paperwork required by the consultant for client meetings.
• Entering new cases on Intelligent Office and keeping mortgage data updated.
• Submitting applications with relevant Money Laundering requirements and any other supporting documentation.
• Maintaining expected commission payments on Intelligent Office.
• Dealing with correspondence and producing standard letters.
• Liaise with lenders, insurance companies, solicitors and clients ensuring requirements met such as medical examinations, obtaining evidence of earnings, completion of any questionnaires and recording and tracking these procedures on Intelligent Office.
• Maintaining mortgage department’s resource library : replenishing Terms of Business, Factfinds etc when required.
• Ensuring acceptance terms and mortgage offers received as promptly as possible and checking these against application/illustration.
• Electronic filing of client correspondence and all other relevant documentation should be carried out at the time of processing.


Hours


Normal working hours will be between 9.00 am and 5.30 pm : though there will be some flexibility, subject to approval. You may be asked to work overtime from time to time to meet the demands of the role.


Salary


Dependent on experience and qualifications : circa £25,000
