An opportunity has arisen to join a supportive HR team within the Education sector; currently undergoing an exciting period of change. This role will give the right candidate great opportunities to learn on the job and take on additional responsibilities.

You will be professionally qualified and will have broad knowledge of your area and the application of this in the further education environment. You will provide professional, specialist or high level technical advice, direction and input across a range of activities. You will contribute to the development of new systems and procedures and will understand the professional, legal and/or regulatory requirements of the environment in which you work. You may lead a team permanently or in project activity and will typically be accountable for the quality of service delivery in your own practice or immediate area of responsibility. You will have professional autonomy and discretion within operational policies and precedents.

Main responsibilities:

• To be an integral member of the HR Team, contributing to the delivery of the HR strategy
• To work collaboratively, ensuring that policies are developed fit for and in line with business needs and then disseminated and embedded within the partner areas
• To work proactively with all middle managers and their teams to contribute to the company's strategic aims
• To deliver HR services aligned with business priorities
• To develop HR interventions and solutions to meet the needs of the business
• To take a proactive role in the implementation of change, as directed, in order to proactively facilitate and deliver improvements to services
• To play a key role in driving up the standard of people management and people performance within the organisation
• To provide a professional point of contact for all managers on matters relating to HR policies and practices, offering advice, guidance, support and information as required and where necessary leading on discipline and grievance cases
• To play an active part in the recruitment and selection of staff to ensure the workforce is fit for purpose
• To contribute to the employee relations, communication and engagement agendas
• To lead on projects and contribute to wider projects as required
