Cameron James specialise in the placement of insurance professionals from our 3 well situated offices in Leeds, Birmingham and London.

My client, an insurance broker based in Hull seeks to hire an experienced Commercial Account Handler into their commercial division after experiencing recent growth.

Role Requirements

• Primarily an Account Management role of existing clients which range from varying industry sectors and give exposure to Property, Liability, Fleet, Courier and Trade, with premium income from Β£10,000 - Β£100,000
• Work in a fast paced environment where information needs to be uploaded accurately and efficiently
• Lead generate to secure new business
• Be the first point of contact for clients, answering any queries, claims notifications and complaints
• Handle MTA’s, renewals and new business quotations
• Chase up late payments and handle invoicing
• Most communication will be phone based although some client visits may be required


Candidate Requirements

• Insurance experience from a commercial division - ideally 3 years +
• Insurance qualifications or work towards ideally
• Educated, with good communication and negotiation skills
• An understanding of industry standards and regulations
• Generally a personable person, able to operate under pressure and to deadlines
