Job Information

We are seeking applicants for a General Manager position to help with the establishment of a new logistics function within a global organisation. The initial focus will be on put together the structure of the operation - from a people, process and procedural perspective. From there you will be expected to control the logistics and distribution functions of a rapidly expanding company.



Managing a team of close to 200 people, the busy operation is housed in a 150,000 sq. ft. warehouse, your main duties will include:



� Manage the strategic and tactical development of warehouse and transport operations
� Take the lead in continuous improvement in service delivery of inbound and outbound product
� Management of a 24/7 operation, leading development of team members
� Manage costs and constantly seek improvements in profit and OTIF
� Ownership of the Health and Safety, disciplinary and fulfilment processes




Experience:



� You will need to have managed the set-up of a large DC, the role will be responsible for a brownfield NDC development
� You must have at least 5 years� experience at a senior management level within a distribution centre environment
� Experience of managing cost centres, P&L and teams of people working shift patterns
� You will be expected to be completely comfortable with using SAP
