We are working with a well established leading Wholesale business and they are looking for an experienced Financial Accounts Manager / Finance Manager.


They are looking to get someone started ASAP so that an adequate handover can be done, so ideally candidates will be immediate, or on a short notice period.


Reporting into the Company Secretary the role will be responsible for overseeing the accounts team and day to day accounting, in addition to managing the month-end accounts process and supporting the senior management team. Key duties and responsibilities will include;


•Preparation of monthly and quarterly Accounts
•Management accounting - P&L and Balance sheet work
•Preparing accounts for the year-end process and to Auditors specifications, including providing detailed information on Costs etc.
•Nominal Ledger processing/reviewing to facilitate preparation of Accounts.
•Supervise/oversee Sales Ledger & Purchase ledger processing, offering support when necessary to the Processors.
•Sending foreign payments to suppliers via Telebanking facility and regularly updating this facility as necessary.
•Intrastat - Preparation of monthly EC Sales List - balance system figures to report generator - review any VAT number queries.
•Preparation of quarterly VAT Return processing on-line, Cash Bankings, Nominal Ledger monthly close down, BACS payments to UK suppliers/Expenses, bank reconciliation and online Banking.
•Deal with Driver Notes - deliveries, queries, reconciling invoices and payments
•Office for National Statistics forms
•AIS Customer review & processing receipts.


For this role candidates will ideally hold AAT and have solid experience working at this level.


Good IT skills are essential and having Sage Line 200 would be advantageous. Excellent communication skills are required for this role and the ability to lead and manage a team, in addition to being hands on.
