We are working with a well established and professional business based in the heart of London and they are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join the team.


Reporting into the Senior Accountant the role will involve preparing accounts for a number of entities / divisions within the business including European general ledger processing, full month-end accounting closes, Year-end and Audit work and also involvement with ad hoc projects. Key duties will include;
•Administering the month-end and quarter-end close for the six European entities in accordance with GAAP
•Preparation of monthly management accounts for each division - P&L reporting and analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, Accruals and prepayments - including commentary
•Year-end statutory accounting and preparing for the auditors
•Cashflow forecasting and reporting
•Month-end reports - variance analysis, summarised accounts and interpretation
•Inter-company accounts reconciliation
•Review the payroll for all European entities, as necessary
•VAT Returns
•Reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
•Assist the Senior Accountant with recommending and implementing improvements to further automate close processes.


Candidates will either be at final stages or qualified ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA, although QBE accountants would be considered with the right experience.


It is essential that candidates have proven month-end accounting and management accounts experience, with ideally exposure to preparing multiple entities. GAAP / IFRS would be advantageous although not essential.


In addition to strong technical experience, candidates must have strong communication skills, be a team player and be motivated and a positive member of the team.
