An exciting opportunity for an advanced Accountancy professional to join an established and growing company within the home improvements has arisen for my client in Bradford. This opportunity becomes available following the imminent retirement of the current Head of Finance and will include a significant hand over period to get the correct professional fully on their feet prior to this event. The is an exceptional opportunity for the right person with the correct experience to kick start a professional career within a well established brand and begin on the right path to success.



Main responsibilities:

• Man management of the whole finance function including 4 direct reports and 5 indirect reports
• Controlling all area's of Finance including Sales Ledger management and Purchase Ledger management
• Overseeing monthly Payroll and VAT compliance
• Monthly Management Accounts, variance analysis, trial balance and balance sheets
• Adhoc financial reporting where required and presentation to the board
• Preparing all annual budget for board approval
• Dealing with all product costing including parts, labour and profit
• Profit and Loss analysis to report findings to the board
• Active fund forecasting both revenue and profit
• Actively reviewing companies current work practices, systems and procedures to suggest improvements
• Preparation of annual files and liaison directly with Auditors


Candidate Requirements:

• Must have proven experience within a senior accountancy position
• Will ideally be fully qualified CIMA or ACCA
• Exposure to the home improvements industry would be highly advantageous
• A working knowledge of Sage, preferably Sage 200 and Sage Payroll
• Proven background in man management is essential
• Experience in a standalone Accountant position is an advantage
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills is key
• Management accounts, cost accounting and financial control experience is ideal
