Job Information

Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a National Charity who are looking to appoint a HR and Payroll Administrator to provide the payroll service to the organisation and maintain the HR Information System and provide administrative support to the HR department.

Responsibilities:

• Inputting all variable data and forwarding to the payroll provider on time, along with the related paperwork.
• Answering all payroll queries
• Administration of organisations benefits schemes
• Checking and reconciling the monthly departmental absence registers against the HR system, and reporting relevant information to payroll including sickness absence data.
• SSP and SMP calculations
• Assisting with the processing of starters and leavers
• liaising with line managers, issuing offer letters and contracts, ensuring the completion of all necessary paperwork, sending out reference requests, producing starter packs, sending out leaver letters, advising benefit providers of scheme leavers.
• Managing the probation spreadsheet; sending out review forms to line managers and chasing them up as required.
• Updating the reference request spreadsheet and ensure all references are sent out and followed up in a timely and efficient manner.
• Answering general enquiries via the HR e-mail inbox within 24 hours and performing other administrative duties.
• Ensuring all data on the HR system is up to date and accurate, and undertaking an audit of the system on a regular basis and address any issues.
• To provide statistical data and reports from the HR system as required.


Profile:

• Payroll experience with some HR Administration experience
• Discreet and professional
• Capable and confident computing skills, particularly MS Office suite and Outlook Express
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and monitor a demanding and varied workload
• Outgoing personality with energy and enthusiasm
• A ‘can do’ proactive and positive approach to tasks
• Strong inter-personal skills, with the ability to empathise and relate to all types of people
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with departmental managers
• “Customer Service” orientated
• A pragmatic operator who is output driven and is entirely comfortable with change
• Strives to continuously improve practices and enjoys generating new ideas
