We are working with a leading logistics company and they are looking for an experienced FC to join the business.


This is an immediate need, so candidates will ideally be available immediately or on 1 weeks’ notice.


Reporting into the regional FD the role will be responsible for the accounting function of the UK. Key duties and responsibilities will include;
• Manage the reporting requirements for internal reporting including, monthly management reporting, weekly cash flow reporting, quarterly reporting for Group consolidation and forecasting and budgeting.
• Prepare Company’s Budgets and Forecasts in cooperation with the Management of UK companies, including exercise cost control, profit performance and cash flow control
• Year-end statutory accounting and manage the annual audit process for both local filed accounts and Group Accounting
• Transition the company financial reporting from current processes to IFRS reporting in conjunction with Group Accounting
• Manage a team of 8 people including staff control, guidance and direction
• Ensure, institute and monitor control systems to achieve optimal utilisation of all resources for maximum profitability.
• Monitor and enhance Group Ethic / Anti-Corruption / Compliance : Regulations in close co-operation with Group’s Head of Compliance and Group’s Risk Management.
• Ensure the day to day operation of Company’s accounts are professionally managed and accounting policies and procedures comply with Local and Group standards;
• Oversee Intercompany accounting, account reconciliation, Debtors / Creditors management, preparation of Annual Financial Statements, Treasury and all day to day accounts
• Monitor in cooperation with Group Taxes and Company’s Tax Advisors Company’s tax affairs.


For this role it is essential that candidate are fully qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA and have proven experience working at this level.


Logistics / Distribution or similar industry would be beneficial, although not essential.
