Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with an International Law firm who are looking to appoint a Recruitment Coordinator. Reporting to the HR Manager, the Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administrating all activities and processes relating to the recruitment of Associates, Trainees Solicitors, Business Support Professionals and Legal Secretaries from initial contact through to the new hire induction process.

Responsibilities:

• Graduate Recruitment
• Coordinating all aspects of the office’s participation in various law fairs and other recruitment presentations and events throughout the UK.
• Attending law fairs and other events as a representative of the HR team
• Reviewing and assessing a large volume of applications
• Coordinating the office’s holiday scheme and training contract interview process.
• Liaising with selected applicants and interviewers to schedule interview dates and times
• Coordinating and administering all aspects of the summer programme scheme.
• With direction from the HR Manager and the Training Committee provide training contract offers to successful applicants.
• Developing and maintaining recruiting materials, brochures, firm website.
• Coordinating and administering the London office’s graduate recruitment advertisements.
• Reviewing and measuring the impact of trainee recruitment practices and opportunities.
• Monitoring trainee recruitment costs against budget
• Identifying opportunities to continually improve existing trainee recruitment processes and suggesting new initiatives and improvements to the recruitment campaigns
• Trainee Solicitor on-boarding
• Maintaining regular contact with successful candidates up to start date
• Organising and managing the new trainee induction programme
• Business Support Professionals and Legal Secretarial recruitment
• Ensuring all necessary approvals have been secured prior to commencing the recruitment process, as directed by the HR Manager
• Coordinating a non-discriminatory recruitment and placement program for assigned populations
• Maintaining the firm’s recruitment agency PSL, including, negotiating fee arrangements, ensuring agency terms are prepared, signed and reviewed annually
• Preparing job descriptions and recruitment advertisements
• Tracking and processing recruitment invoices
• Coordinating the employee referral program


Person Specification:

• Experience in a similar position within a law firm.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Well developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm
• Self-motivated with a proven ability to manage own workload and juggle any conflicting priorities
• Proven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive management information with the appropriate discretion
• Ability to work in a team environment with a customer service focus
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Organisational skills needed to manage time well, prioritise effectively and handle multiple deadlines
• Good attention to detail and a critical eye for detail and consistency
• Knowledge and proficiency in PC applications, including MS Office
• Positive, professional attitude and able to remain calm under pressure
• Highly motivated and confident
• Dependable and team-orientated
• Professional demeanour appropriate for an international law firm
