Job Information

Cameron James Professional Services are working with a National Civil Engineering company who are looking to appoint a HR Administrator in their busy Leeds office. This is a new stand- alone role responsible for HR administration requirements for an initial fixed term of 6 months.

Responsibilities :
• Administering new starters and leavers
• Setting up and maintaining employee files
• Maintaining the holiday and absence records
• Use Microsoft Office Word and Excel to create spreadsheets and documents.
• Creating forms where required to support HR administration processes
• Monitor recruitment in-box and process CVs
• Liaising with head of finance &HR /Directors/ business related partners and all employees to coordinate HR administration needs .
• Other generalist admin and secretarial work as required
• Work with an HR Consultant to carry out a comprehensive review of all basic HR administration procedures and systems and then implement an improvement plan.
• Support and/or take charge of various HR projects as part of this review

Person Specification:
• Previous experience of administration and project work is essential
• Previous experience doing HR Administration would be desirable
• Capable of creating spreadsheets and designing forms (digital/graphic skills are desirable but not essential)
• Able to produce flow charts / assess admin processes and spot possible improvements
• Use Microsoft Office Word and Excel to create spreadsheets and documents
• A confident self- starter who would enjoy the challenge/opportunity to bring the current admin systems up to date and make efficiency improvements where possible.
• Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail
• Approachable with good interpersonal skills
• Tenacious
• Able to work on own initiative
