FINANCE ASSISTANT - SHEFFIELD

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing and successful business based in Sheffield. My client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within such a role and either have a recognised accounting qualification or be working towards one.

MAIN DUTIES

• Production of weekly accounts / statistics.
• Prepare weekly / periodic flashes
• Production of variance analysis and commentary for senior management
• Supporting the Finance Manager in the production of budgets / forecasts
• Reconciliation of Internal IT charges and agency costs
• Control and Reconciliation of Balance sheets
• Contribute towards the improvement of processes and methods of operating practises on the contract


IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Minimum of 2 years experience within accounts
• Have a recognised accounting qualification / working towards
• Good attention to detail
• Be able to demonstrate appropriate accounting experience gained in a high volume customer focused environment
• Purchase ledger experience preferred
