Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a National Charity Brand who are looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager. The Assistant Marketing Manager will supervise day to day activities of the Marketing Team in accordance with its annual operational and communications plans and budget to achieve significant growth.

Responsibilities:

• Effective supervision of the performance of a small Marketing Team in line with agreed objectives.
• Effective supervision, delivery and evaluation of day to day operational activities to influence significant growth in line with agreed objectives and targets.
• Effective supervision, the delivery and evaluation of well written and successful communications to both internal and external customers and stakeholders to influence significant growth in line with agreed objectives and targets.
• Develop, manage and build constructive and productive internal and external relationships, which will have a positive influence.
• Agree and allocate workloads and supervise staff performance to ensure activities are completed in line with agreed objectives, on time and on budget.
• Conduct regular one-to-one meetings to obtain updates on progress against objectives, to review performance, to provide feedback and support and to review learning and development requirements, as well as identify any new requirements and objectives as required by the business.
• Conduct annual and interim staff performance reviews in line with policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the development of the annual operational plan and objectives in liaison with the Marketing Manager.
• Contribute to the development of the annual budget.
• Establish mechanisms to monitor, measure and report regularly on the operational performance.
• Supervision of communications plan
• Contribute to the development of the annual communications, marketing and PR plans in liaison with the Marketing Manager.
• Supervise and monitor the effective delivery of the day to day communications activities.
• Assist in the collection, collation and analysis of management reports, statistics and other key information.
• Report to the Marketing Manager on a regular basis on the performance of the team in accordance with agreed plan and objectives.
• Deputise for the Marketing Manager on an ad hoc basis as and when required.


Person Specification:

• Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of supervising a team
• Developing and delivering communications, including press releases, newsletters, and writing copy and articles for publications
• Developing and managing web content and social media presence
• Planning and coordinating successful events
• Monitoring and evaluating communications and operational activities to measure their success
• Conducting, analysing and reporting on activities, data, market research and surveys
• Interpersonal and team working skills
• Excellent planning and organizational skills to plan and manage own and others workloads
• Able to work collaboratively and effectively within a team
• Able to develop, manage and build effective internal and external relationships
• Able to write in a well-structured, clear and concise way that can be tailored to different audiences and activities
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of communications, marketing and social media tools and techniques
• IT literate in Outlook, Excel, Word & Power point
• Able to delegate work effectively and fairly
• Is results-driven
• Is flexible, adaptable and has a ‘can do’ attitude
• Able to attend occasional ad hoc events
