Senior Underwriter
Location : City of London or Bedford
Salary - £50,000 - £75,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Healthcare + Pension 5% Matched + Non Contractual Bonus + Support for taking the Insurance exams +++

Do you have a wealth of underwriting experience in Marine, Terrorism, Motor, High Net Worth or other Commercial areas£
This company are approved by BIBA and work with both Retail and Wholesale Brokers and MGA’s and are now looking to expand their teams in both London and Bedford.
Duties of the Senior Underwriter:

• Underwriting and risk assessment of new and repeat business
• Pricing / re-pricing of repeat / new business applications
• Timely completion and submission of all paperwork required by Credit Committee
• To act as a point of reference / guidance for Underwriting Assistants and Administrators
• Provide input into the Recoveries Manager, to identify and catalogue risk sectors and ensure a joined-up approach to risk management
• Fielding queries from all other departments in respect of risk / pricing / policy
• Managing existing accounts and developing new business



Requirements for the role of Senior Underwriter:

• 5+ Years + Commercial / Personal Lines Underwriter
• Lloyd’s experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of the broker environment and broker relationships
• Existing broker relationships
