Our client has an exciting new opportunity to join their rapidly expanding FMCG business as a Demand Planner. The role will see you join the company in this exciting new function within the business which is a key role for them and their continued growth plans short & long term.

The Role:

The main objective will be to maximise sales turnover and to ensure the company obtains the best possible returns, while maintaining and improving the company’s margin target aspirations.

Main Duties:

• Create and develop medium term seasonal programmes (6 months rolling) for all customers by matching food production curves with optimal sales plans.
• Allocation of volumes of fruit crops to customers.
• Scenario planning/modelling in order to identify the best sales opportunities .
• Regular reporting to the business, including the identification of missed sales opportunities and finding ways to optimize sales wherever possible.
• Data collation and coordination from different sources to interpret trends and patterns within the data and analyze results.


Experience Required:

• BSc in a related discipline (2.1 minimum).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in demand planning and/or forecasting.
• Experience in pricing and promotion analysis would be greatly advantageous, as well as an understanding of promotional strategies.
• Experience of the fruit or fresh produce industry would be desirable.
• Very strong data analytical ability.
• IT skills : highly proficient and advanced level of Excel. Experience working with Navision (desirable).
