Senior Purchase Controller Specialist
Salary: 30,000k to £41,000k DOE + Fantastic Company Benefits
Location: North East

Our client is a leading automotive manufacturers and an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Purchasing Controller. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will join a team providing detailed and accurate purchasing information to internal and external customers & suppliers.

Preferably you will have some exposure to the commercial aspects of business management and engineering knowledge.

Main Duties:

The post holders will be able to:

� Develop supplier strategies.
� Source Services & Capex in line with supplier / Capex strategy.
� Negotiate cost reduction for MRO/Services/Capex.
� Manage the supply base to achieve QCDDM targets.
� Carry out benchmark activities.
� Provide purchasing information to the business management function to support bid activity.
� Analyse RFQ data.
� Meet target costs.
� Maintain conformance with business and engineering/manufacturing systems.
� Provide management with accurate information regarding cost reduction targets.
� Communicate effectively across functions.


Experience Required:

� 3 years experience within a similar role, preferably within an automotive industry.
� Good organisation and communicate skills.
� Excellent computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
� Knowledge of ERP/MRP or similar business system.
