ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT - WAKEFIELD

My client is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join their accounts team on a full time, permanent basis. This opportunity is a new role due to company expansion and increased requirements; meaning this would be a fantastic role for a keen and motivated individual. You should have previous accounts experience and preferably knowledge of Sage 50.

SUMMARY

• 37.5 hours per week (Mon : Fri)

KEY DUTIES

• Assist Financial Controller with preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts
• Reconcile nominal ledger and posting of month end journals
• Sales ledger including raising sales invoices, dealing with customer queries, debt chasing and sending invoices and statements to customers
• Reconcile bank accounts on daily basis
• Ensure monthly stock takes are carried out and check accuracy
• Deal with auditor queries and questions
• Produce weekly financial and sales KPI’s
• Ensure projects costing’s are completed prior to commencement of project and monitor achievement of costing
• Keep project costs up to date and accurate


IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with various accounts (purchase ledger / sales ledger / nominal ledger) and also the drive to learn and excel within the role. My client is looking to pay between £18,000 - £20,000 dependant on the candidate’s experience.
