Job Information

Job role: To assist in the processing and administration of purchasing goods and services

Reports to: Senior Buyer



Responsibilities:

• Assist with clerical duties including physical inventory movement and recording.
• Advise departments on substitutions and recommendations for products.
• Liaise with Suppliers regarding logistics and delivery dates of goods, including updating information to Sales staff.
• Updating of stock details for recording and monthly reporting.
• Maintain and review records of items purchased, costs, goods in/goods out, delivery, product performance and inventories.
• Reconciliation and consolidation of Supplier Order Confirmation with Purchase Orders including filing.
• Website maintenance : adding/removing products, including product descriptions and pictures
• Ensuring that the documentation and procurement of the right product is in the right place at the right time in order to maximize sales and minimise costs with the Company.
• Performance is monitored through Key Performance Indicators and individual review with Management.




Skills/Attributes Required:

• Experience working in a Purchasing Department as a Clerk or Administrator
• Experience of inventory control.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail and organization are essential.
