Cameron James are working with an engineering company in the Sheffield area looking for an HR Manager to complement their existing Management team.

The ideal candidate will have come from an Engineering or Construction background understanding the key elements of working within this business sector.

The main responsibilities within the role are:

• Covering a full Generalist Remit
• Implementing a robust Recruitment strategy in line with the companies policies
• Upskilling operations on HR policies and procedures
• Aligning HR within the Operational strategy and vision of the company
• Focus on Commercial aspects such as delivering low absence, managing complex cases and ensuring non escalation of issues related to HR
• Formulating a Continuous Professional Development programme across all levels
• Implementing salary reviews and strategies for moving forwards
• Delivering L&D workshops following assessment of business needs
• Work closely with counterparts in Operations to ensure implementation of HR procedures


The ideal individual will:

• Have a CIPD qualification
• Be degree qualified (not necessarily in HR)
• Have substantial experience with demonstrable skills across resourcing, advising on general issues, policies and employment law details.
• Have worked within an engineering environment with knowledge of operational issues
• Be skilled in Employee Relations
• Have successfully implemented Employee engagement plans and had positive results
• Be driven to succeed within the HR field and formulate clear plans for the department
