My Education industry client is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to lead their finance team

The role will involve advising on improvements for financial management systems, forecasting, budgets, and management accounts and to ensure that the team are working effecting and you are providing a strong leadership,

Duties include:

• Liaising with various external bodies
• Completing the annual accounts and preparing related documentation
• Preparing annual budgets, management accounts and audited annual accounts and necessary government company returns.
• Managing the academy’s budget effectively
• Supporting the strategic financial planning
• Supporting fundraising ideas and preparing models and bids/proposals
• Developing finance systems
• Performance manage the team
• Overseeing VAT and Corporation Tax returns
• Insurance, fixed asset register and periodic funding body returns
• Contract management and tender processes
• Managing a team of 3


Key skills:

• Qualification - ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Previous educational background
• Strong experience within a senior finance position
