Cameron James Professional Recruitment are working with a rapidly expanding Technology Company who are looking to appoint a HR Advisor. The HR Advisor will be responsible for the provision of effective day to day advice, guidance and administration on all generalist life-cycle matters, and through effective supervisory management ensure an excellent end user experience, and promote service standards and high quality customer relationship with the Human Resource team.Responsibilities:
Act as a first line advisor in the resolution of grievance, disciplinary matters and employee relations seeking the guidance of the HR Manager when required
Provide proactive advice for the management in connection with attendance and performance issues, supporting managers and employees to find appropriate solutions
With the support of the HR Manager ensure that line managers are fully supported with issues around organisational change and development, such as restructuring and redundancy
Support line managers with the advertising, sourcing, selection, interviewing, screening/referencing, induction and development of new employees
Advise line managers on performance management, objective setting and talent management
Liaise with managers and employees with issues such as maternity, paternity and dependency
Provide education and coaching relating to company HR processes to line managers
Conduct Exit interviews to identify employees reasons for leaving and general insight information on the Company
Responsible for all HR administration for business area i.e. new starter packs, letters, scanning/filing and payroll administration
Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR practices
Assist the HR Manager with HR projects and initiatives in support of key objectives and business plans
Set an example for others by championing the Company values.
Person Specification:
Educated to degree standard or equivalent.
CIPD qualified or working towards.
Evidence of continuous professional development.
Managing employee relation cases through to completion.
Effective performance management techniques.
Providing HR solutions to meet the needs of different services or individuals accordingly.
Analysis and interpretation of workforce information, supporting managers in delivering effective HR solutions and drive improvement in performance.
Understanding of HR policies and procedures.
Basic payroll knowledge.
Current knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
Must have excellent administrative skills.
Sound understanding of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
A good understanding of HR systems would be advantageous.
Good report writing skills.
Coaching skills.
Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
Strong attention to detail and conscientious in quality of work outputs.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
