Job Information

Cameron James are working in partnership with a leading professional services firm based in Central Leeds looking for an L&D Advisor.

This is a critical position within the business to engage at all levels from senior stakeholders and managers through to support staff and new engagements. Therefore the ideal person will have a strong background within the L&D field, background is not important but gravitas, ability to engage and deliver creative solutions are.

Key responsibilities:

• To engage with key stakeholders, assess the current position and formulate L&D plans for their people
• To manage a training needs analysis and design action plans from this across the business
• To design L&D initiatives addressing training needs both currently and for the future
• To act as a Coach and Mentor for all levels of staff and management
• To liaise with external providers to ensure that all training provision and delivery schedules match the company needs
• To manage the training budget effectively.
• To negotiate and use persuasion skills at a senior level to ensure that L&D is seen as an integral part of the business
• To offer creativity in L&D solutions and proposals
• To ensure compliance across external bodies as well as internal regulations


Additional areas of involvement:

• To support the Head of HR with the communication strategy for the year
• To identify different methods of attracting and retaining talent.
• To ensure that the core values are re-iterated and embedded through L&D


Essential skills required:

• A professional approach both verbal and written communication
• Ability to negotiate and present to senior stakeholders and challenge the status quo
• Experience of designing and implementing leadership and management programmes
• Excellent IT and presentation skills
• Degree level education


Desirable skills:

• L&D qualifications
• CIPD qualified or equivalent
