Account Executive / Office Manager

An ambitious, forward thinking broker in Newcastle are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a strong commercial insurance sales background to develop and maintain a client base and lead a team of Handlers.

Role Purpose

• Work within a sales orientated environment, responding to customer needs and requirements in a professional manner.
• Develop new commercial accounts and sales and proactively develop existing commercial accounts in line with business development plans.
• Support our organisations goals by demonstrating excellent business development skills.


Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain the special relationship with existing commercial customers and to target new customers from the market place by the effective marketing of current products.
• Be accountable and take ownership of your individual sales and services target.
• Own and effectively manage assigned commercial product promotions and sales campaigns.
• Short, medium and long term strategic planning of products and sales in line with insurance market trends, maintaining the firm’s market lead over competitors by exemplary customer service.
• Liaise with account handlers to complete all supporting commercial sales documentation and to pass all completed sales to the policies department and underwriters in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
• Take ownership of customer accounts, resolving enquiries and problems in a timely and efficient manner and maintaining a positive and growing relationship with customers.
• Support the departmental Key Performance Indicators and sales targets as directed by the Director
• Comply at all times with the requirements of the firm’s own procedures, the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 and FSA regulations.
• Maintain professional competence by complying at all times with the Training and Competence procedures of the firm.
