My Kensington based client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Controller to join their team, offering long term progression within the company.


Duties will include:
� Supporting the Financial Controller in the daily running of the department
� Producing and managing budget and cash flow
� Producing monthly P&L including commentary
� Departmental P&L statements
� Producing accurate, timely business information to the hotel
� Maintaining strong accounting and operational environments to safeguard assets, improve profitability and manage business risks
� Reconciling the balance sheet as part of month end processes
� Preparing and processing journals/ reclassifications required at month end
� Supervising and working in close collaboration with the Purchasing department to ensure Company regulations and guidelines are applied
� Assisting the FC with budget, forecast and cash flow preparation
� Preparing the annual statutory accounts, in compliance with UK reporting requirements
� Monitoring and reconciliation of inter-company accounts balance


Essential Key Skills:
� Strong background within hotels and/or restaurants
� Working knowledge of the Opera system and material control
� Advanced skills in Excel
� Fluency in English is essential and a good command of the Italian language is desirable
