My International client is currently looking for an Accountant to join their business and head up and oversee the Accounts department.

The group has 4 different entities and is an international trading company which is continually seeing expansion with a turnover in 2014 of £900million

The role is to start ASAP and will be working alongside 4 Directors. Candidates must be Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with previous experience working in an international company ideally. The role has come about due to retirement of one of the Directors.

You will be managing a team of 6 within the accounts department who deal with the transactional side of the business. The role will be dealing more with the corporate side of the business including

Duties include:

• Analysing the accounts
• Supporting the directors and providing necessary information
• Providing support on consultancy projects
• Budgets and business planning
• Providing commercial Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS’s) and applicable UK accounting practice
• Assisting the production of mandatory FCA and other regulatory financial returns
• Preparing of board packs, including profit and loss, balance sheet and regulatory capital calculations
• Ensuring an appropriate framework of balance sheet analysis and reconciliation is operating effectively each month
• Assisting with accounting analysis in support of overseas tax, business development initiatives and major projects
• Organising and preparing agendas and papers for board meetings, committees and annual general meetings (AGMs)
• Lodging required forms and annual returns with Companies House
• Overseeing policies, making sure they are kept up to date and referred to the Directors for approval
• Maintaining statutory books
• Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action
• Taking responsibility for the health and safety of employees and managing matters related to insurance and property
• HR - ensuring the contracts are up to date


Competitive salary dependent on experience £60 - £80k plus statutory pension, private health cover and 28 days holiday plus statutory.
